PINOT GRIGIO
California

WINEMAKING PHILOSOPHY
The idea that wine should be uncomplicated is truly innovative thinking. But, cutting edge wines also deserve cutting edge closures. Pepi is perfect simplicity in a wine glass. Easy to open, easy to enjoy. Unpretentious winemaking that results in wines of intensity and focus is something different, tradition-breaking, innovative. In the pepi tradition our fresh, crisp wines are the signature for spontaneous, every-day celebrations — truly modern style in a wine glass.

HISTORY
From our beginnings in 1968 with experimental plantings of Sangiovese from Brunello di Montalcino to our new Stelvin screw cap closures, Pepi has always been about innovation. In our quest to make delicious, everyday wines we have also looked to innovative fruit sourcing. From the cool, coastal vineyards of California comes lively fruit that answers to the call of picnics and anywhere, anytime wine. Our winemaking team believes that wine is not an athletic event. Elegance over power. Finesse over might. Pepi wines are now boldly bottled under screw cap. No tools needed.

WINEMAKER COMMENTS
“Aromas of honeydew melon, red apple and faint orange blossom unite in harmony. On the palate, a smooth creaminess and full body leads to a bracing, mineral, tangy finish. The Stelvin screw cap will keep the wine fresh while eliminating the possibility of cork taint. From a winemaker perspective, I am very excited about the closure; this wine is fresh, crisp, clean and nothing should interfere with that.” -- PATRICK PICKETT, WINEMAKER

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY Think of the Screw Cap as our Wine Quality Insurance

• The best closure to preserve the fresh, pure fruit quality in Pepi wines.

• Consumers taste the wine as we created it, untainted, without bottle variation.

• Eliminates the concern over TCA, which causes corkiness.

• Reduces premature oxidation.

• Stelvin screw caps have no effect on the taste or quality of the wine — ever.

• Convenient, user friendly package: to open, simply twist!
